Professional Development Mini-Grant

The purpose of this grant is to supplement nonprofit professional development needs that ynpnGO cannot fulfill. Members of ynpnGO are eligible for up to $100 to help offset the fees or cost of a professional development opportunity. You may apply for this grant multiple times; however, you will be only awarded once per calendar year.

What qualifies as a professional development (PD) opportunity? A PD opportunity can be a wide variety of specialized training, formal education, or advanced professional learning intended to improve professional knowledge, competence, skill, and effectiveness. Activities such as conferences, trainings, webinars all qualify! In addition, you can also apply for professional association fees (e.g. American Society of Public Administration membership).

Grants are provided on a reimbursement basis. If approved for a grant, you will need to send a copy of your receipt to membership@ynpngo.org and ynpnGO will send you a reimbursement check within 10 business days. If you are financially unable to pay for opportunity upfront and receive reimbursement, please reach out to membership@ynpngo.org and alternative payment methods will be discussed.

  • Must have a current paid ynpnGO membership
  • If you are applying for an event you will physically attend, it must be within the Omaha Metro Area (Douglas, Sarpy, Pottawattamie Counties)
