As young leaders in the nonprofit sector, we have a deeply held value of service to the community. Each year ynpnGO dedicates one month to volunteering in partnership with a local nonprofit. This year we are partnering with Heartland Hope Mission to distribute food, clothing, and hygiene items to families with need.
All are welcome to join us on Saturday, July 27th from 9am-1pm to help provide a variety of services in the pantry. Children 12 and up are welcome with a parent or guardian present. Volunteers should wear tennis shoes (no sandals/no open-toed shoes/no high heels) for your safety and comfort during the volunteer shift.

Practicing self-awareness and understanding our own implicit biases can positively affect our interactions as we work to fulfill a variety of missions. Join Gibril Mansaray, Diversity and Inclusion Manager at Promiseship, at the Intercultural Senior Center's brand new office for a conversation on self-awareness and implicit bias. Attendees should be prepared to have courageous conversations. Light refreshments will be provided.
